For a many years I lived in Oregon, first in Portland, then in Cottage Grove. My first was born in Mt. Vernon, Washington, and then grew up in Seattle, Washington. I spent many long hours going from Portland to Seattle to visit his mom and sister. Even though the trip seemed endless, the scenery was luscious. All of them are no longer living, but my brother still lives in the Northwest, as do many friends of mine. The Pacific Northwest will always be in my heart.
