This is the uncropped version.

Some of you were close. I never saw it streaked this way.

Here are some other versions in different places along my walk yesterday. How gross is that? Drink anyone? Fortunately for me Kalev hates to get wet.

Oh it’s ice
No, it wasn’t frozen. Much yuckier than ice. That’s why I took the picture because it looked like ice, but wasn’t. Of never seen pond scum look like that!!!
Yeeewwwww
You don’t want a drink of not-so-fresh rainwater????
Let me think about that
You had to THINK about it?????
Haha no LOL
NO!!!
LOL
It looks like it was cracked with stones hitting it.
I know! It was the weirdest pond scum I’d ever seen!
Hah! You’ve got that right.
Well that just put the kabosh on what I was serving for dinner!!!
First thing I thought about when I woke up today.
I was very close with my “cracked frozen puddle.”
I probably replied to this already, but I really think it had been frozen during the night, and that is what caused the design. I don’t know that, but it’s my conjecture.
I don’t want you to be wrong!!! Gold star anyway!!!
Cattle or Horse dung? I know you must walk past lots of that? Your photos are amazing!
No, and yes. Kalev tries to eat the latter and avoids this stuff like the plague!!!
Now I want to take a walk with you and find out exactly what it is? Bugs in the dung slurry? Yum Yum!
No bugs, just bubbles.
Never would have guessed.
I wouldn’t have either!!!!
Oh – bubbly pond scum!!! Ewwwww.
Well done, Marsha!
I know!! Who takes pics like that?????
That is pretty cool Marsha, I have never seen anything like that before.
I know!!!
Looks like a vernal pool, also known as a puddle of water.
You got that right! I’m sure it had some disease like vernal!!! hahaha JK.
